A 17-year employee of global mining company Vale, Brooke is the Manager, Change Management and Governance for the company’s base metals business. For the past 10+ years, she has championed and led the change management practice at both operations and corporate levels, advising on a range of initiatives and ensuring that the most important players in business transformation – the People – remain in constant focus.
Brooke is an alumni of the 2012 Governor General’s Canadian Leadership program. In 2011, she was recognized as one of Sudbury's top '40 Under Forty' leaders for her community involvement, particularly with the Art Gallery of Sudbury, where she served as Board Chair. She previously served on the board of The Vimy Foundation, part of a lifelong passion of hers, having worked at the Canadian National Vimy Memorial in France, while in university.
Fluently bilingual (English and French), she holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of New Brunswick (UNB) and Bachelor of Public Relations degree from Mount St. Vincent University. A member of UNB’s Board of Governors (chair of its Advancement Committee), she is also past president of the UNB Associated Alumni.
Brooke is an Accredited Business Communicator through the International Association of Business Communicators and earned Change Management Certification from Prosci. She is now working on her third language, Brazilian Portuguese.
